AGAiN are off to the semi-finals of the 2009 World Cyber Games following a nail-bitting 2-1 win over Power Gaming. AGAiN were forced to work hard to fabricate a quarter-final win as Power Gaming made sure to give the Polish giants a run for their money. On de_dust2, the former Vitriolic team demonstrated a very solid CT play as they went into the second half 9-6 in their favour. It was expected that things would be easier for them as Terrorist, but Power Gaming kept piling the pressure, which made AGAiN register just a 16-13 win. The second map, de_train, began with Power Gaming not too good in defensive affairs, with the Finnish side managing just eight rounds as CT, but their strong offensive moves broke down the Polish defense in the second half, giving them a 16-14 result. The last map, de_inferno, was a complete nightmare for AGAiN as CT as they were down by 7 rounds at half time, which made even the most avid of fans doubt about the team's chances. But the Polish side pulled off a great second-half show, with Jakub "kuben" Gurczynski picking up over 30 frags, to see off Power Gaming 16-14 and seal a 2-1 win. WCG 2009Best of 0 |
